James is a Director at the Center for Climate-Aligned Finance. A leading practitioner and thought leader, he works to align capital with climate targets through innovative research and ambitious cross-sector collaborations. James led the development of the Poseidon Principles, the first global climate alignment agreement for financial institutions, which launched in June 2019 and serves as an advisor to the Poseidon Principles Association today. His thinking and research is incorporated into the strategies of some of the world’s largest funds and financial institutions and has been featured globally in publications including the Economist, FT, Guardian, NY Times and many others.
