Rocky Mountain Institute’s Center for Climate-Aligned Finance was launched in early July as an “engine room” to help financial institutions -- and the industries they serve -- to understand and overcome the practical barriers to climate-aligned lending and investment. The Center is part of a global partnership to accelerate the decarbonization of global economic sectors and also focuses on the development of global frameworks that connect financial sector initiatives with financial regulation. The Center’s Founding Partners include Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and JPMorgan Chase. Radhika Lalit, Director, Center for Climate-Aligned Finance and James Mitchell, Director, Center for Climate-Aligned Finance, will be presenting about the Center and speaking about their latest report, Breaking the Code, which provides an overview of the climate action efforts and policy trends within the financial sector.
